We are currently looking for a Team Lead - IT Support to join our team
What you can expect in this role:
The Team Lead IT Support is responsible for managing and guiding the IT support team while ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the organization’s IT infrastructure. This role combines leadership, advanced technical expertise, and process improvement to deliver exceptional support services and drive team efficiency. The Team Lead acts as a bridge between the IT support team, end users, and senior IT management, ensuring high-quality user experience and system reliability.
More specifically, here are some of the key responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
- Supervise and mentor IT support staff, providing guidance, performance feedback, and development opportunities.
- Coordinate daily support activities, ensuring timely resolution of tickets and adherence to SLAs.
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues and guide the team in resolution efforts.
- Develop and implement training programs for team members to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Foster a collaborative and proactive team culture to improve service delivery.
Technical Support:
- Provide advanced technical support onsite and remotely for escalated hardware, software, and network issues.
- Analyze and resolve critical incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Oversee the support and troubleshooting of Office 365 applications, VPNs, Teams meeting hardware, and other key technologies.
- Assist in the implementation of new technologies and solutions to meet organizational needs.
System Administration and Maintenance:
- Administer and maintain IT systems, including Microsoft Intune, Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and Slack.
- Ensure systems are secure, up-to-date, and compliant with organizational policies.
- Monitor and maintain the health of critical network and infrastructure resources.
- Conduct regular reviews of security logs and implement measures to address vulnerabilities.
Process Improvement and Documentation:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance IT support efficiency and user satisfaction.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, solutions, and procedures.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the IT support team.
- Generate reports on team performance, ticket resolution metrics, and system health.
Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Work closely with HR and other departments to ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Partner with Level 3 support and vendors to address complex technical challenges.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to set expectations and provide updates on IT initiatives.
Here's the profile we're looking for:
- Pre-grad degree or Associate's Degree in Computer Science or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in IT support, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Entra ID (Azure AD), Office 365 Suite (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams), and Slack administration.
- Strong experience in Active Directory user management, group policies, and permissions.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, and firewall configurations.
- Expertise in remote support tools and methodologies.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring a team of IT support professionals.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workloads, and maintain high team morale.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities and track team performance.
- Commitment to continuous learning and keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies.
Preferred certifications:
- CompTIA A+, Network+
- Microsoft 365 Certified
- ITIL Foundation or other relevant certifications
