We are currently looking for a Financial Analyst to join our team

What  you can expect in this role:

Bitfarms, through its operating entity Backbone Hosting Solutions Inc., is a publicly listed blockchain infrastructure company (Nasdaq/TSX: BITF). To support its growing operations, international expansion, SOX compliance and ongoing continuous disclosure requirements, Bitfarms is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst Reporting to join our team.

Reporting to the finance manager, the financial analyst will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date accounting records, assisting in preparing ad hoc and periodic reports for derivative instruments and management reports, performing certain month-end closing processes, monitoring performance indicators, and being involved in specific special projects.

More specifically, here are some of the key responsibilities:

• Assist the finance manager in maintaining accounting records and executing controls related to derivative financial instruments.; (30%).
•  Participate in the preparation of monthly financial reports, including pro forma financial statements and other related tasks for compliance purposes; (25%).
• Preparation of monthly closing tasks and analysis; (20%).
• Assist in other special projects, supporting the external auditors, and ad hoc reporting requirements (15%)
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and updates throughout the year (10%).

Here's the profile we're looking for:

• CPA designation or in the process of obtaining.
• 2-5 years experience in accounting; accounting firm experience is an asset
• Knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP
• Strong Microsoft Office suite user (i.e.,c Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint)
• Intermediate English is necessary.

Good to have:

• Inquisitive mind and desire to learn in an emerging industry.
• Strong work ethic and sense of ownership
• Team player who is also able to work independently and work well with others
• Flexible and adaptable; experience working in a dynamic environment would be an asset
• Good problem-solving and communication skills
• Experience with accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics, Workiva and Jet Reports would be an asset).
