We are currently looking for a IT Field Technician for Yguazú - Paraguay to join our team
What you can expect in this role:
Reporting to the Team Lead - System Administrator, the IT Field Technician will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and functionality of our organization’s IT mining sites infrastructure. This position involves resolving technical issues, assisting on-site users, managing the lifecycle of on-site IT assets, and maintaining an optimal site environment. The position may require on-call support on a weekly rotation basis.
More specifically, here are some of the key responsibilities:
- Installing / removing network devices, patching, labelling and organizing network cables.
- Updating inventory databases & asset management systems.
- Monitoring systems to ensure servers and devices remain at optimal conditions.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues.
- Escalating complex issues to the team and tracking all issues to resolution.
- Installation and maintenance of on-site IT infrastructure such as surveillance cameras, WIFI network or access control systems.
- Ensuring that all systems have the latest security patches and software updates.
- Configuration of various equipment and operating systems.
Here's the profile we're looking for:
- Training in engineering or software development careers.
- Knowledge of Networking and IP Networks (ethernet and wireless).
- Experience in Hardware/Software support of Windows computers.
- Experience in structured cabling and CCTV/WIFI installations.
- Team spirit, a keen sense of ownership and an agile mindset.
